This variety of grape has been grown since the Middle Ages at the foothills of the Pyrenees - in Jurançon in the southwest of France. According to legend, the wine of Jurançon was served at the baptism of King Henry IV in the year 1553.
Our French/Hungarian oak barrel fermented wine is reminiscent of an Old World style Petit Manseng. Aromas of pineapple, pear, and vanilla with a touch of oak are in harmony. On the palate, fruit notes such as lemon rind, grapefruit and pineapple are complemented by mild toasted oak and acidity.
Petit Manseng pairs well with spicy Asian cuisines, crab, lobster, foie gras and strong cheese.
Our vintages have their own unique characteristics, depending on the weather during the growing season and the time of harvest.
